Big 3 to meet again on Wednesday

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the senior leaders of the three big parties—Nepali Congress, UML and UCPN-Maoist—held at the Hotel Annapurna on Tuesday decided to hold the next meeting on Wednesday along with Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and NC president Girija Prasad Koirala.

The meeting which was held for around three hours discussed the agenda finalised by a meeting among the leaders of the same parties on Friday which include clearing the environment of mistrust that has surfaced among the parties, power sharing, issue of civilian supremacy, peace process and review of past agreements, among others.

Those attending the meeting are Maoist supremo Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Maoist leaders—Baburam Bhattarai, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Post Bahadur Bogati and Dev Gurung, NC Parliamentary Party leader Ram Chandra Poudel, NC leaders--Arjun Narsingh KC, Krishna Sitaula, Ram Saran Mahat and UML chairman Jhala Nath Khanal, UML leaders--Bhim Rawal, Yubaraj Gyawali, Bhim Acharya and others.
