पर्साका सहायक प्रजिअमाथि गोली प्रहार, अंगरक्षकको मृत्यु

पर्साका सहायक प्रजिअ बलबहादुर मल्ललाई आज बिहान १० बजेर १० मिनेट जाँदा वीरगन्जको रानिघाटमा अज्ञात व्यक्तिले अन्धाधुन्ध गोली प्रहार गर्दा उनका अंगरक्षक आनन्दराज खड्काको मृत्यु भएको छ। मल्ललाई गोलीको छर्रामात्र लागेको हुनाले उनी खतरामुक्त छन्। नागरिकन्युजकर्मी उपेन्द्र लामिछानेले जनाएअनुसार, क्वार्टरबाट कार्यालय जान कारमा चढ्दै गर्दा अज्ञात बन्दूकधारीले हानेको दुई वटा गोली अंगरक्षक खड्कालाई लागेको थियो। गोली लागेका खड्कालाई अस्पताल लाँदालाँदै बाटैमा मृत्यु भएको थियो। मल्ल भने कारभित्र बसिसकेका हुनाले गाडीको शिशा छेडेर छर्रा मात्रै उनलाई लागेको थियो। घटनालगत्तै स्थानीय एफएम रेडियोहरुमा फोन गरी संयुक्त जनतान्त्रिक मुक्ति मोर्चाले यसको जिम्मा लिएको बताइएको छ।

कोइराला परिवारको जग्गाकब्जा गर्ने चेतावनी

विराटनगर, पुस २७ -विराटनगर-७ ब्रम्हपुरा टोलमा रहेको कोइराला परिवारको जग्गामा बस्दै आएका झण्डै ८० परिवारले मोहीयानी जग्गा पाउनुपर्ने अडान राखेका छन्। मोही जग्गा नामसारी नगरिदिए त्यहाँ रहेको कोइराला परिवारको १४ बिघा जग्गा कब्जामा लिने उनीहरुले धम्की दिएका छन्। पुस्तौदेखि सुकुम्वासीहरु उक्त जग्गा भोगचलन गर्दै आएपनि नामसारी गरिदिन कोइराला परिवारले आनाकानी गरेकाले उनीहरुको पूरै जग्गा कब्जा गर्ने मनस्थितिमा पुगेको उपेन्द्र कामतले आइतवार पत्रकार सम्मेलनमा भने। जंगल खनजोत गरी कोइराला परिवारले उपभोग गरिरहेको १४ बिघा जग्गा मध्ये ०४२ सालमा मोहीका नाममा दुई/दुई कठ्ठा जग्गा नापेर छुट्टियाइदिएका थिए। ८० परिवारले भोगचलन गर्दै आइरहेको कोइराला परिवारको करिब चार बिघा घडेरी जग्गा उनीहरुले नामसारी गरिदिन दबाब दिएका छन्। ‘५० औं पटक डेलिगेशन जाँदा पनि आजभोली भन्दै जग्गा पास गरिदिएन'-कामतले भने,‘हरसम्भव प्रयास गर्दापनि कोइराला परिवारले हामीलाई टेरेन।' कोइराला परिवारका सदस्य गिरिजाप्रसाद कोइराला, शेखर कोइराला, प्रकाश कोइराला, उनको श्रीमती नानु कोइराला, नोना कोइराला र सुरेश कोइरालाको नाममा रहेको उक्त टोलको एकसय १५ बिघा जग्गामध्ये सबै बेचेर हाल १४ बिघा मात्र बाँकी छ। जसमध्ये सुकुम्वासीहरुले चार बिघा जग्गा नामसारी गरिदिन दबाबदिदै आएका छन्।

– यसको बारेमा सबैलाई थाहा छ। मैल केही भनिरहनु नपर्ला।

सेक्सको पहिलो अनुभव बताउन मिल्ला?

– मिडियालाई सार्वजनिक रूपमा त भन्दिनँ! बरु तपाईंलाई छुट्टै भनौँला।

सेक्स मानवीय आवश्यकता हो?

– सायद भगवान्ले जरुरी देखेर नै बनाएको होला। वंश सञ्चालनका लागि आवश्यक चिज हो सेक्स।

उमेरले सेक्स डिमाण्ड गर्दा पूर्ति गर्न के गर्नुहुन्छ त?

– भोक लागेपछि खानुपर्छ भने जस्तै यसलाई पनि त्यही रूपमा लिऊँ न, हुन्न र?

संसारकै महिला सेक्सी को जस्तो लाग्छ?

– मान्छेको आ–आफ्नो हेर्ने तरिका हुन्छ। कोही साडीमा नै सेक्सी दखिन्छन् भने कसैलाई अर्धनग्न कपडा लगाउँदा पनि सेक्सी देखिँदैन। सेक्सी त हेराइमा भरपर्छ जस्तो लाग्छ मलाई।

रेजिना उपे्रतीको चाहिँ कुन पार्ट सेक्सी लाग्छ?

– यो नै भन्ने छैन। म हिरोइन हुँ। त्यसैले पनि मेरो शरीरको हरेक पार्ट सेक्सी देखियून् भन्ने लाग्छ। तर, दर्शकहरूको भनाइमा अनुहार भन्दा मेरो शरीर (बडी) नै सेक्सी छ।

महिलाको कुन अङ्ग सेक्सी लाग्छ?

– यही अङ्ग भन्ने छैन। कसैका आँखा त कसैको गाला अनि कपाल र हाँसोमा पनि सेक्स अपिल हुन्छ। त्यो कुरालाई कसले कसरी ग्रहण गर्छ भन्ने मात्र हो।

नेपाली चलचित्रमा पोख्त एक्सपोजर को हुन्?

– यही भन्ने छैन। त्यो त कुनै निर्देशकले कसरी एक्सपोज गराउँछन् भन्नेमा भरपर्छ।
होइन र?

तपाईंले मन पराएको पुरुषसँग सेक्स गर्न पाउनुभयो भने कुन ठाउँ रोज्नुहुन्थ्यो होला?

– त्यो ठाउँ किन अहिले नै भन्नु र? डिष्टर्भ भइहाल्छ नि।

सेक्स नगरीकन मानिस बाँच्न सक्दैन र?

– किन सक्दैन र। महात्मा, ऋषि मुनिहरू र तपस्वीहरू बाँचेकै थिए नि।

तपाईं आफ्नो सेक्सी भाग कसरी एक्सपोज गर्नुहुन्छ?

– त्यो त मैले भन्न मिल्दैन। निर्देशक र नृत्य–निर्देशकले कुन भाग सेक्सी देखिन्छ र कुन भाग देखाउन कस्तो डे्रस लगाउन दिनुपर्छ भन्ने उनीहरूको सोचअनुसार नै हामीले आफूलाई प्रस्तुत गर्ने हो।

नेपालीमै शपथ खाने अन्तिम निर्णय

काठमाडौं। मधेसवादी दलहरूले अझै हिन्दी भाषाको वकालत गरिरहेका वेला निष्त्रि्कय उपराष्ट्रपति परमानन्द झाले मातृभाषामै शपथ लिन पाउनेगरी संविधान संशोधन भए पनि आफूले अब नेपाली भाषामै शपथ लिने बताएका छन्।
मधेसको पहिलो सम्पर्कभाषा हिन्दी भएकाले आफूले पहिलोपटक हिन्दीमा शपथ लिएको बताउादै झाले नेपाली भाषा तराई(मधेसको दोस्रो सम्पर्कभाषा भएकाले आफूले नेपालीमा शपथ लिने निर्णयमा पुगेका हुन्।

'मलाई नेपाली भाषासाग कुनै भेदभाव छैन, यो सबै नेपालीको राष्ट्र भाषा हो, त्यस कारण नेपाली मेरो पनि राष्ट्रभाषा हो' जनआस्थासाग झाले भने( त्यसैले अब दोस्रोपटक शपथ नेपाली भाषामै लिउँ्क भन्ने सोचाइमा पुगेको छु।' मधेसवादी दलले हिन्दी भाषाकै वकालत गरिरहेका वेला उपराष्ट्रपति झाले आफू फेरि हिन्दी भाषामै शपथ लिने पक्षमा नरहेको जानकारी पनि दिए। मैले हठ गर्नुहुँदैन, हिन्दी तराई(मधेसको सम्पर्क भाषा हो, त्यसमा मैले शपथ लिइसकेको छु, फेरि संविधान संशोधन गरी हिन्दी वा अरू कुनै मातृभाषामा शपथ लिने प्रावधान राखिए पनि पहिले त्यही भाषामै शपथ लिइसकेकाले त्यही भाषामा शपथ लिनु जरुरी छैन। उनले हिमाल, पहाडदेखि तराईसम्मका नेपालीको सम्पर्कभाषा नेपाली भएकाले पनि आफू दोस्रोपटक नेपाली भाषामा शपथ लिन तयार भएको स्पष्टोक्ति दिए।

अन्तरिम व्यवस्थापिका संसद्मा सरकारले मातृभाषामा पनि शपथ लिन पाउनेगरी विधेयक प्रस्तुत गरिसकेको छ। मधेसवादी दलहरूले सो विधेयकले भाषासम्बन्धी समस्या समाधान नगर्ने बताउँदै आएका छन्। उनीहरूले मातृभाषाको छनोट शपथ लिने व्यक्ति स्वयंले गर्न पाउनुपर्ने तर्क राख्दै आएका छन्। उपराष्ट्रपतिको मातृभाषा मैथिली भएकाले उनले मैथिलीमा शपथ लिनुपर्ने केहीले भनिरहेका वेला झाले भने( 'पहिले पनि कसैको दबाबमा मैले हिन्दीमा शपथ लिएको होइन र अहिले पनि नेपालीमा शपथ लिने निर्णय कसैको दबाबमा गरेको होइन।'

एकै ठाउँमा पाँच शिशुको शव फेला पर्‍यो

काठमाडौँ, पुस २२ - काठमाडौँको कुलेश्वरस्थित फोहर फ्याँक्ने स्थानमा करिब चार महिनाका शिशुको पाँच वटा शव फेला परेको छ। विष्णुमति नदी किनारको फोहर फ्याँक्ने स्थानमा प्लास्टिकले पोको पारेर फ्याँकेको अवस्थामा स्थानीय बासिन्दाले शव फेला पारेको नागरिकन्युजकर्मी केपी ढुंगानाले जनाएका छन्। नजिकैका क्लिनिकहरुमा गर्भपतन गरेपछि ती शवहरु फ्याँकिएको हुनसक्ने अनुमान प्रहरीले गरेको छ।

मुलुकी ऐन ज्यानसम्बन्धीको महल २८ (ख)ले गर्भ तुहाएको नमानिने अवस्थामा सुरक्षित गर्भपतन गर्न सकिने व्यवस्था मिलाइदिएपछि नेपालमा गर्भपतन गर्नेहरुको संख्या नाटकीय रुपमा बढेको छ। ०६० चैतमा यो गर्भपतनसम्बन्धी कानुन परिवर्तन गरी लागू गरिएपछिको पहिलो वर्ष नै गर्भपतन गर्ने महिलाको संख्या ७ सय १९ पुगेको थियो। छ वर्षको अवधिमा यो संख्या ३ लाख नाघिसकेको तथ्यांक छ। तर विद्यमान कानुनमा पनि तीन महिनासम्मको गर्भलाई मात्र सुरक्षित रुपमा तुहाउन सकिने व्यवस्था छ। त्यसैगरी गर्भवती महिलाको स्वीकृतिबिना र छोरी वा छोरा पहिचान गरेर गर्भपतन गर्न नपाइने व्यवस्था छ। त्यसैगरी अनिच्छित वा अन्य कारणले रहन गएको गर्भलाई सरकारले तोकेको स्वास्थ्य संस्था, चिकित्सक वा स्वास्थ्यकर्मीबाहेकबाट पतन गराउन नपाइने व्यवस्था कानुनमा छ। यस्तो संख्या देशभर २ सय ४५ स्थानमा मात्र छ। बुधबार फेला परेका शव चार महिनासम्मका देखिएकाले अवैध रुपमा त्यसलाई तुहाइएको हुनसक्ने अनुमान गरिएको छ। महानगरीय प्रहरी वृत्त कालिमाटीका प्रहरी निरीक्षक तुलसी भट्टराईले प्रहरीले यस घटनामा अनुसन्धान गरिरहेको बताएका छन्।

Snake saves family from fire

A Chinese man who nursed a dying snake back to health claims it saved his family by raising the alarm when their house was on fire. Yu Feng, of Fushun, in Liaoning province, found the dying black snake outside his home, reports the Liaosheng Evening Post. "I treated it with herbal medicines, and in 20 days it recovered," he said. He took the snake to a nearby mountain more than a mile away to release it back into the wild - but the next morning it was back at his house.

"I then set it free another two times, but it always came back," Yu added. "People around me said the snake had come back to repay my kindness, so I kept it." He named the snake Long Long and adopted it as a pet - then one night, he claims it saved the whole family. Yu explained: "I was asleep when suddenly I felt something cold on my face. I opened my eyes and it was Long Long. "He had never woken me up before but I was so sleepy I went back to sleep. But Long Long grabbed my clothes with his teeth and whipped the bed with his tail.

"Then he went to my mother's bed and whipped her bed with his tail. I woke up then and smelt something burning, and saw my mother's electric blanket was on fire so I leapt up and turned it off." Local reptile experts say snakes don't have the intelligence to act in this way - but Yu believes Long Long acted out of kindness, to repay Feng for saving his own life.

Burj Khalifa: The new tallest building in the world

THE world's tallest building explodes like a rocket - as it is lit up by fireworks at its official opening yesterday.

The skyscraper, dubbed the Dubai-vory Tower, is more than HALF A MILE high.

That's more than three times the size of Britain's tallest building, Canary Wharf Tower in London.

The 200-storey tower - its exact height revealed as 2,717ft (828m) - was opened by Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. At 828 metres (2,716.5ft), Burj Khalifa is 320 metres taller than Taipei 101, which at 508 metres (1,667 ft) had held the record for the world’s tallest building measured to the architectural top since 2004, the year the project was announced.

But many of its floors were said to be unfinished - with thousands of workers drafted in to plaster walls, cover pipes and lay carpet.

The tower's opening was overshadowed by the global financial crisis - which left Dubai with £62billion debts as property prices plummeted.

The building was named Burj Khalifa - after the United Arab Emirates president who helped Dubai with a £16billion bailout last year.

The building is so tall that it is ten degrees Celsius cooler at the top than at the base.

All design considerations took into account the 12,000 people who will live and work in the tower. The handover to residents of the various components of Burj Khalifa will begin in February.

With a total built-up area of about 6 million sq ft, Burj Khalifa features nearly 2 million sq ft of residential space and over 300,000 sq ft of prime office space, in addition to the area occupied by the keenly awaited Armani Hotel Dubai and the Armani Residences. The tower also features modern lifestyle amenities including clubs, health and fitness facilities, gourmet restaurants and the 124th floor observation deck, 'At the Top.' Burj Khalifa is the focal point of the 500-acre ‘mega-project’ by Emaar Properties, described as the new heart of Dubai.

'3 Idiots' becomes Bollywood smash

MUMBAI: Aamir Khan's latest film, "3 Idiots," has become the highest grossing Bollywood movie of all time, with strong showings at home and abroad raising hopes for further cross-over hits for Indian films. The leading actor-producer-director wrote on his blog that box office takings for the coming-of-age comedy had already surpassed those for his 2008 hit "Ghajini," which was the previous record holder."In less than 10 days 3i has overtaken the ENTIRE business of GHAJINI!!!! India, Overseas, everywhere!!! And is still going strong," Khan wrote Monday, describing himself as "fully overwhelmed and totally humbled."

India's Business Standard newspaper said Tuesday that "3 Idiots" had taken 2.4 billion rupees (51 million dollars) from the domestic and international market since opening on December 25. "Ghajini" took 2.25 billion rupees. Meanwhile www.hollywood.com and Deadline Hollywood, which both track box office takings in the United States, said "3 Idiots" has so far made 4.8 million dollars after opening in nearly 120 US theatres. No Bollywood film has crossed the four-million-dollar threshold before.

The film's success has given Bollywood a boost, after a disappointing 2009 marked by a damaging producers' boycott of multiplex cinemas in a row over box office takings, swine flu fears and a string of big budget flops.The Business Standard said "3 Idiots" has so far made more money than Bollywood's entire ticket receipts in November, which included the hit "Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani" (An Amazing Story Of Strange Love).Indian box office takings are lower than in Hollywood because of lower ticket prices.

Film critics and industry analysts attributed the success of "3 Idiots" not just to Khan's star quality, but also high production values, a sustained marketing campaign and the story's wide appeal. A public row about how much the film was based on Chetan Bhagat's best-seller "Five Point Someone," and a lack of other big-name releases, may also have helped. "It's a very well-made film with a message and with a big star. It brings back memories of people's experience of the education system in India," Taran Adarsh, from bollywoodhungama.com, said of the film's overseas success. "If you still have family here I think you identify with it all the more," he told AFP.

Mayank Shekhar, national cultural editor at The Hindustan Times newspaper, said the same expatriate Indian "IT crowd" who bought "Five Point Someone" appear to have flocked to US cinemas, boosting audiences. "What's equally important is that it's not a preachy film. It's by itself a complete comedy, which is what most mainstream audiences go for," he said. A well-constructed combination of a leading star, well-placed song-and-dance routines and a message gave it "all the elements of a Bollywood blockbuster," he added. US film studios have been eyeing India's popular Hindi-language film industry for several years, hoping to tap in to an expanding 2.3-billion-dollar market. Hopes are high that Shahrukh Khan's upcoming film "My Name Is Khan" will match or even eclipse the success of "3 Idiots."

Fox Searchlight, which promoted the Oscar-winning film "Slumdog Millionaire," and other Fox units are handling distribution. Adarsh said the overseas market is becoming increasingly important for Bollywood. "The domestic market has traditionally been measured in rupees. Today it's dollars, pounds, dirham, euros and various other currencies," he said. "It's not just the Indian diaspora. It's people in Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Middle East. The success of '3 Idiots' is just the tip of the iceberg."
